Stay Connected: A Look Inside Teamsters Local 481’s Membership Meetings and Communications

Similar to the US government, the Teamsters govern under three levels, National (IBT), Regional (JC42), and Local (481).

Transparency and accountability are always at the forefront. The Local 481 Executive Board, Business Agents, and Staff are actively involved with conducting monthly general membership meetings to update members of recent business, finances, and happenings at our shops.

In recent years, the San Diego location meetings were expanded to include locations, dates (including some weekends), and times to better serve our members in various regions.

Educational seminar meetings are scheduled periodically to expand the knowledge base of our membership.

At GM Meetings, members can expect refreshments, raffles for Padre tickets and gift cards, as well as guest speakers from all levels of politics and the labor community!

In addition, Local 481 Executive Board members, business agents, and staff attend regular informational Joint Council meetings.
